The Print-on-Demand (POD) publishers have specific limits to the number of pages their presses can print on demand. Because all three volumes of the CE scriptures are too lengthy to print using most POD machines, each volume was split into individual books, for a total of 7 individually printed and bound items.

The leather-bound scriptures are custom-made by special order, and so they don't have the page limit restrictions inherent with POD printers. So, these special-order CE scriptures will retain the original 3-volume layout of Old Covenants, New Covenants, and Modern Covenants as originally envisioned by Joseph Smith, and ratified by the body of believers. A Glossary of Gospel Terms has also been added to the New Covenants (Volume 2) as an appendix.

Either way, when an entire set is purchased, both the POD and the special order versions include the same content, layout and formatting.

Most POD orders arrive within 2-4 weeks. However, some publishers can deliver much more quickly in certain areas (i.e. Amazon.com can deliver in 2-3 days to most people in the USA, but sometimes at a higher cost than other publishers may charge). The actual printing and delivery timing will depend on where you live, and what shipping speed you select.

Custom or special orders are produced in batches, which generally take several months to complete due to the extensive labor involved in making the premium book blocks, handcrafted leather covers, and so forth.

Everything offered on scriptures.shop is offered as a service for honest seekers and scripture readers. Scriptures.shop is not set up to generate profits. In fact, no profits are anticipated, only losses. However, we do try our best to keep everything in balance. We believe that doing the work of God requires sacrifice, so related efforts are provided on a volunteer basis without compensation.

All POD product minimum prices are set by the publishers, not by the Restoration Scriptures Foundation. For most products, we are able to set our royalty to zero, but in some cases the publishing platform forces us to accept a minimum royalty (usually $0.10 - $0.50). In those cases, those small royalties are used to defray the costs associated with operating the Foundation, including web servers, cloud storage, bandwidth, and so forth. From time to time, if royalties accumulate in excess of these costs, the Foundation will donate the excess to the temple fund.
