At this time, we don’t know how much of a delay in shipping will exist at the time the books are ready to be shipped, but we do expect significant delays related to extreme backlogs at ports, lack of ocean container ships available and in service, and so forth. The entire country of India remains on lockdown, with all airports closed, and residents under a “stay-at-home” order until at least April 15th. Although the leather scriptures, journals and Stick of Joseph have been printed, gathered, stitched, nipped, trimmed, and rounded, the last steps of gilding and covering cannot be completed until after the lockdown is lifted. The current estimate is that all remaining work should be able to be completed within 30 days after the bookbindery reopens.
