We have an update to keep everyone informed about the progress of the leather-bound edition of the Restoration Edition Scriptures. 

The lockdown in most of India has been extended through May 31. Residents remain under a “stay-at-home” order until then. We hope this restriction will be lifted at that time and progress can commence on our order again. 

All books have been printed and everything except the final steps of gilding and covering have been completed. 

The gilding and covering process can be worked on once the gilding company and the leather company are open. The current estimate is that following the opening of those companies, it will take about 30 days to complete the remaining work for our leather-bound scriptures. At that point, the books will be ready to package and load into the ocean container that will carry them to the USA, a journey that will take about 60 days. 

Shipping lanes are re-opening, and the major shipping companies and ports are working, although with limited capacity and staff in many cases. We are hopeful that by the time the books are ready to ship, the bulk of the backlog will have been managed and we won’t be facing long delays in port. As of today, we are targeting the end of August as our best-case scenario for receiving the shipment at our warehouse in the Boise area.
