Now that many of the restrictions in India have been lifted, the bindery is back in action, operating with 30% staff to maintain proper distance and protect the health of the workers. Attached is a photo of the first production books, which were completed yesterday. The entire country of India remains on lockdown, with all airports closed, and residents under a “stay-at-home” order until at least April 15th. Although the leather scriptures, journals and Stick of Joseph have been printed, gathered, stitched, nipped, trimmed, and rounded, the last steps of gilding and covering cannot be completed until after the lockdown is lifted.
